▸Can I unsubscribe from Sapio's emails?

Yes. Every email we send to you includes the option to unsubscribe. Please click the unsubscribe link within the email & we'll stop sending you messages immediately.

▸How do I update my location?

Location data is updated via GPS. You cannot update your location manually.

▸I forgot my password!

After tapping "login" you can recover your password by tapping on "Forgot Password?"

▸I matched with someone but they disappeared, what gives?

Users who have either blocked or ignored you will not be shown to you.

▸I have accidentally ignored someone I am interested in. How do I find them?

You can shake your phone to undo your last ignore! Otherwise, they won't appear in your feed again.

▸How do I change my filters or search criteria?

There is a filter button in the top-left-hand corner of the profile tab where you can filter by several criteria including age, distance, etc. The Explore tab also allows you to apply new filters or modify existing ones. You can also edit your filters from the Profile tab by selecting the Settings button and then find "Filter my Matches" within the profile section.

▸Someone has liked me who doesn’t match my filters; why are people outside my filter criteria liking my profile?

You have the the option to only show those that fall within your search criteria in the "who likes me" section by un-checking the "Ignore my search criteria" button.

▸I can’t chat with my matches! What’s up?

This problem should only be temporary, but double-check your internet connection. Please try again later, and send us a message at help@getsapio.com if the problem persists.

▸Can I swipe photos to like or ignore others?

No. Swiping cycles through each photo attached to a user profile.

▸What are keys?

Sending a key to someone will increase your chances to get noticed by that person! The recepient will be able to view all your answers without the requirement of answering them first. You're allowed to send one key a day unless you purchase an extra for 10 coins.

▸I can't see a user's location?

Make sure your location settings are enabled. If you still can't see someone elses location they may have their location settings turned off.

▸What are coins?

Coins are Sapio's currency. They're used see others answers without needing to answer them yourself. They can also be used to purchase more keys & increase the amount of profile likes.

▸What happens when I react to someone's answer?

Reacting to a user's answer will send them a notification & will reward them one coin.

▸Why can't I filter by "X"

You can only filter others using a limited criteria. We will be expanding this later this year.

▸Why does it say I ran out of likes?

You can only like 100 people a day. You can purchase more likes with coins.

▸No one is showing on the profiles screen. Is there no one in my area?

If no one is showing in your area, make sure to expand your search criteria especially by distance.

▸How do I edit an answer to a question?

Answers are only editable after 12 hours. To edit your answer, either find the question you wish to answer from the related category or from the list of your responses via the Question Explorer. Tap the pencil icon next to your answer to edit.

▸What is the point of the Question Explorer?

▸How do I enable or disable Push Notifications?

Navigate to the Settings screen by going to the My Profile tab; tap the Settings icon on the upper-left-hand side. The second section titled Notifications allows you to set the alerts you wish to receive: Messages, New Connections, and Answer Likes. If you wish to disable Push Notifications entirely for the app, go to the Settings app on your phone. Next, select Sapio from your list of apps and disable Push Notifications.

▸How do I edit my email?

You can change your email address inside the application. Go to "My Profile > Settings > Change My Email Address".

▸Is my last name & birthday shown to others?

Your birthday is used to calculate your age which is shown to others. Your last name & birthday will not be seen to others.

▸How do I change my password?

You can change your password inside the application. Go to "My Profile > Settings > Change My Email Address".

▸How can I delete my profile?

We have the option to hide your profile from discovery without deleting your account. Navigate to the Settings screen by going to the My Profile tab, and tap the Settings icon on the upper-left-hand side. On the Settings screen, in the Profile section, you can tap the button next to Hide My Profile: This will hide your profile from everyone but your mutual matches or chats. If you wish to delete your Profile, navigate to the Settings screen, and scroll down; select the Delete Account button.

▸How can I hide my profile?

▸Why is my profile not visible?

Your Profile is not visible to others if you do not have a Profile Photo and at least three answered questions. Also, verify that your Profile is not hidden by navigating to the Settings screen and tapping the My Profile tab; tap the Settings icon on the upper-left-hand side. On the Settings screen in the Profile Section, check the Hide My Profile button setting. If it’s enabled, you’ll need to disable the feature. ▸How many photos can I link to my profile?

You can link a maximum of 6 photos to your profile.

▸How can I edit or delete a photo?

You can delete your own photos in the "my profile" section by pressing the "X" button on any photo. You can only re-crop your photos by deleting and re-uploading them.

▸I can’t upload photos. What’s the deal?

Check that Sapio can access your photos. Go to Settings on your phone, select Sapio from the list of apps; make sure Photo Access is enabled. Please contact help@getsapio.com if you still have issues.

▸How do I “unlike” someone?

On the Likes tab, select the Who I Like section; next, tap on the user you wish to “unlike” and tap the Ignore button on their Profile.

▸How do I delete a chat?

You can delete a chat by tapping the three vertical dots in the upper-right-hand corner of within screen you wish to delete. Select the Block User option, which will delete the current chat and block the current user.

▸How do I block someone?

You can only block a mutual match/chat. Navigate to the chat/match with the person you wish to block and tap the three vertical dots in the upper-right-hand corner. Select the Block User option: This will delete the current chat and block the current user.

▸Can I message someone I haven’t matched with?

No, our system only allows users who have mutually matched to chat with each other.

▸How can I report an idea or bug?

Navigate to the Settings screen by going to the My Profile tab and tap the Settings icon on the upper-left-hand side. On the Settings screen, in the Contact Us section select Send Feedback; choose which type of feedback you wish to send, and fill then out the form. We will respond ASAP.

▸How do I report a user or answer?

To report a user, navigate to the user’s profile you wish to report and tap the three vertical dots in the upper-right-hand corner. Select the Report User option and please select a reason for the report. To report an answer, tap the flag icon next to any answer, and select a reason for the report.

▸Where can I download Sapio?

Sapio is available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android users.

▸How much does Sapio cost to install?

Sapio is a FREE dating app.
